The 16th Annual General Meeting of the Association held on September 24, 2026 at the Conference Hall of the Association as well as through Zoom video link.

The AGM considered and adopted the Audited Financial Statements of the Association for the year ended June 30, 2026 together with Chairman’s Report and Auditor’s Report and approved the appointment of M/s. Jawed Abdul Ghaffar & Co., Chartered Accountants as Auditor for the year ended June 2027.

After that, the election results for the new Executive Committee for the upcoming two-year term were formally announced. The following members have been elected:

The outgoing Chairman of the Association, Mr. Yasir Ashfaq, welcomed the participants and emphasized the need for strong sustainability initiatives to strengthen the Association’s standing. He emphasised for collective and coordinated efforts from all members, he shared insights from his experience with local and international associations, saying that organizational revenue primarily relies on two avenues: member subscriptions and conference sponsorships and to that end, he advised for focussing and prioritizing the organization of major conferences.

Syed M. Ali Raza also addressed the gathering, commending Mr. Yasir Ashfaq’s transformative leadership during his brief eight-month tenure as Chairman. While acknowledging the difficult challenges ahead, he expressed confidence that the incoming Executive Committee, under the leadership of Mr. M. Shoaib Ibrahim, would successfully build the Association’s image and ensure its long-term sustainability.

In his concluding remarks at the AGM, incoming Chairman Mr. Muhammad Shoaib Ibrahim expressed deep gratitude to Mr. Yasir Ashfaq and his team for their untiring efforts and remarkable leadership in driving significant progress. Aligning himself fully with the outgoing Chairman’s vision, Mr. Ibrahim highlighted that his team represents a unique blend of expertise across all NBFI sub-sectors (Modarabas, Leasing, and IFS). With their collective support, he pledged to make every effort to resolve Sector’s challenges and elevate the Association’s reputation and ensure its sustainability.
